IOM is reinforcing its Accountability to Affected Populations
In an effort to continuously improve and strengthen our support to the people we serve, IOM trained 114 members of its team and implementing partner Actions et Interventions pour le Développement et l’Encadrement Social (AIDES) in charge of site management on the principles of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) and Communication with Communities (CwC) tools and methods.
IOM believes that engaging with communities is essential to improve the quality and accountability of its humanitarian assistance and services, and to ensure that the rights and dignity of beneficiaries are respected. CwC enables IOM to provide clear and useful information about its activities, site management, and service provision, as well as to collect complaints from the affected populations and respond to their needs and preferences.
